Labradoodle Generations

F1 Labradoodles are a “filial generation, ” or “first generation” cross between a purebred Labrador Retriever & a purebred Poodle. Labradoodles of this first generation doodle will experience low to moderate shedding, and are the least allergy-friendly generation.

F1B Labradoodles are a backcross (hence the “B”) of a F1 Labradoodle and a purebred Poodle. F1B labradoodles will have very low to non-shedding coats.

F2 “second generation” Labradoodles are the result of breeding an F1 labradoodle to an F1 Labradoodle. Coats vary substantially from moderate to non-shedding. Multi-Generation or “third generation” Labradoodles are the result of breeding an F1 Labradoodle cross to an F2 Labradoodle. Their offspring and their progeny are considered multigeneration Labradoodles.

Multi-generation Labradoodles are nonshedding and very allergy friendly. A “pure” multi-generation Labradoodle is the off-spring of at least 5 consecutive breedings of a multi-generation Labradoodle to multi-generation Labradoodle.

What makes a Labradoodle Australian?

Infusion of the Cocker Spaniel (American or English), Irish Water Spaniel in the DNA of the Labradoodle differentiates the American Labradoodle (no Cocker Spaniel/Irish Water Spaniel infusion) from the Australian Labradoodle (Cocker Spaniel/Irish Water Spaniel infusion). Having been founded in Australia by Wally Conran during the 1980’s for the Royal Guide Dogs of Australia, findings from years of research based on highly selective breeding at the Rutland Manor & Tegan Park Research Centers, have resulted in this phenomenal dog.

Australian Multi-Generation Labradoodles have smooth, silky fleece, wavy or curly fleece or wool coats with little to no dog odor. Highly intelligent, their temperaments are consistent with those of therapy dogs. They are non-shedding, and present the least annoyance for allergy sufferers.

As a result, we breed only genuine Australian multi-generation Labradoodles.

Meet The Foundation of Our Austrailian Labradoodle Breeding Program: Lola

Lola is a multi-generation Labradoodle with an incredible temperament. She has a beautiful chocolate wavy fleece coat and has aced her genetic health tests. As the premiere Austrailian Labroodle Breeder in Toronto, Ontario, casaDOODLE's breeding program focuses solely on multi-generation Austrailian Labradoodles in outstanding health with superior temperants. Lola not only meets all of these requirements, but far exceeds them.

The casaDOODLE Difference: Ontario's Finest Labradoodle Breeder

casaDOODLE is a small breeder located just outside of Toronto, Ontario. We are meticulous in hand raising each of our Labradoodle puppies. Our beloved Australian Labradoodles are not raised in kennels - they are lovingly cared for in our home, as part of our family in anticipation of adoption by their "forever family."

We are highly selective when integrating our female and male dogs in our Australian Labradoodle breeding program. Our puppies receive plenty of love, and stimulation - we spend a great deal of time with each puppy priming them for behavioral training. We believe that the time & effort invested in socialization and early neurological stimulation allows casaDOODLE labradoodles to develop their calm temperament and lovable personality.
